“I’ve had a fascination with this city since my first visit at the age of 12. After years of coming here as a professional blackjack and poker player, I finally decided to make Las Vegas home. What I love most about this place is that it never stays the same from one day to the next. Just when you think you’ve seen it all for a day, someone nonchalantly sits down next to you at the bar in full Kiss regalia, as if that is as normal as cornbread and butter beans. I have often heard tourists say that they never leave the strip and wouldn’t know where to go if they did. I created OffStrip Vegas to solve that problem.”
“I call myself an adventurer. I was born and raised in the South where “Home Cookin’” was on every restaurant sign and where hospitality was a requirement. I recently relocated to Las Vegas because I fell in love with the culture and city. My greatest adventure was raising my three boys, but the challenging part was doing so on a single mom’s budget. Finding deals on going out to eat, the movies, water parks, and traveling became my expertise. “
“I was born and raised in Las Vegas and grew up backstage of a classic Vegas show, Splash. I have seen this city boom and bust for my entire life and been intimately involved in its constant growth and change. As an MBA candidate and dental school applicant to UNLV, it has been my passion to pursue a job where I can wear pajamas to work every day. And so the galaxy yoga pants reviewer was born. Some of my favorite things I will introduce you to are hidden deep in Korean markets or Russian restaurants. This town is full of opportunity, sometimes you just have to step beyond the Strip.”
“I was raised a few blocks from Downtown Fremont, what many people consider to be the heart of Las Vegas. I’ve seen this town grow over the last 27 years. So many places have opened and closed trying to make the cut. I have had the privilege of trying so many of them. There is a certain love to be found in all the wonderful food and culture this city brings. The strip isn’t my favorite destination. I prefer hidden treasures and hole in the wall diners.”
“Raised in Las Vegas since a young age, I have wandered the various ins, outs, and backstreets this town has to offer for nearly 25 years. I have had the pleasure of watching the people of this town develop their image, from a community submerged in the depths a sin, to a respectable business locale with the prestige to host the final presidential debate.”
